1. General Introduction

The Residential College Apartment are single-room apartments with shared bathrooms on the floors 2-6 in Block 4, No.1 Residential College. All the single rooms are equipped with furniture and electrical equipment including tables, chairs, wardrobes, bed linens, air conditioners, and televisions. There are another 16 apartments (one-room, three-room, four-room) on the floors 7-10, which are equipped with a complete set of furniture and electrical equipment including tables, chairs, wardrobes, bed linens, air conditioners, televisions, washing machines, induction cookers, water heaters, refrigerators, water purifiers and hair dryers, respectively.

The public areas on the first floor, are equipped with a self-service laundry room, a fitness room, a dancing room, a pool & table tennis room and discussion rooms. All the faculty who live in the RC can use the rooms free of charge. Also 24-hour reception services are available in the No.1 Residential College. It’s a 5-minute walk to other buildings like the canteen, library and commercial street, etc. (Find the location in Pic.1)

2. Facilities and Services

2.1  Access control

Access control system and face recognition system are used in the No.1 Residential College ,which ensure a secured living environment.

2.2  A/C system

Every single room is equipped with a wall-mounted air-conditioner, which allowing residents to adjust the room temperature according to their needs. Every suite apartment has the VRF system and each room has its own room temperature controller..

2.3  Hot water

24-hour hot water is provided in shared bathrooms for all the residents of single rooms.

24-hour hot water in both bathrooms and kitchen is provided in every suite apartment.

2.4  Electrical equipment

Every suite apartment is equipped with one microwave & baking oven, one induction cooker, one rice cooker, one thermo jug and one electric kettle.

2.5  Internet

Every apartment is equipped with internet connection and covered with WIFI. Please connect to “ZJUWLAN” or “Eduroam” and log in with your own Net ID. If you don’t have a Net ID, please contact the IT Service for more details. Tel: 0571-87572669, Email: its.intl@zju.edu.cn.

2.6  Digital TV service

Every single room is equipped with a 55-inch ultra-high definition TV set and international channels are available.

Every suite apartment is equipped with two 55-inch ultra high definition TV sets, one is in the living room and another is in the master bedroom, and international channels are opened. .

2.7  Drinking water

The single apartment has a water break on each floor, providing hot water for direct drinking. Each room is equipped with a thermos pot for teachers' easy access. The suite apartment is installed with purified water system that provides drinking water directly. Besides, an electric kettle and a thermo jug are available

2.8  Washing, drying and hanging ironing

A laundry room with washers and driers are available at Room 151 on the 1st floor. By following their official wechat account, you could manage to book and pay via your smart phones. Every suite apartment has one washer, and a steam ironing machine is provided on each floor.

2.9  Decorations

In order to increase the cultural atmosphere of the apartment, some decorations like decorative paintings, flower vases and artworks are provided in the suite apartments.

2.10 Cleaning service

Indoor cleaning service is provided per week and the bed linen changing service is provided per month by the staff of Campus Service Center. Public areas are cleaned regularly.

3. Usage Fee

The usage fee for long-term and short-term accommodation is as below. Short-term accommodation (1-30 days) and long-term accommodation (1-12 months) are available depending on vacancy. The short-term rent is calculated by piecemeal accumulative method, as shown in the following table.
