Campus Services Guide during the 2024 Winter Vacation

The Winter vacation time

For students: from January 29 to February 23, 2024; School return: February 25; New term begins: February 26 

The winter vacation arrangement of ZIBS graduate students is in accordance with the ZJU’s relevant notice.

For faculty and staff: from January 29 to February 14, 2024. Back to work: February 25

 

1. Campus Service Hub: During the winter vacation, all services will be carried out normally from 9:00-16:00 except for the administrative agency services. The service hotline is 87572114. 

2. Library: During the winter vacation, the opening hours will be adjusted to 8:30-17:00 from Monday to Friday. It will be closed on weekends and during the Spring Festival (10th to 17th, February). The library will resume normal opening from February 25th. The consultation hotline is 87572288.  E-mail is library@intl.zju.edu.cn.

◆ The library cafe bar and the 3rd floor will be closed.

◆ Book reservation will be suspended from January 19th to February 25th. Books with due dates between this time have been automatically extended until February 25.

◆ Device Rental Service will be suspended. You can still borrow books from Yunyue Reading platform. Book’s due date will be extended to another 41 days.

◆  Library website and digital resources will be on service as usual. 

3. Dining services: During the winter vacation, the Chinese food stall on the second floor will open, breakfast 7:30-9:00, lunch 11:00-13:00, dinner 16:30-18:00, and other will be closed from January 27th. Western restaurant and local delicacies will resume from February 24, the midnight diner and the self-weighing stall on the third floor will resume from February 25th.  

4. Teacher’s apartment: During the winter vacation, all services will operate normally. During the Spring Festival (10th to 17th, February), the service hours will be 9:00-18:00. The service hotline is 87572211.  

5. Gymnasium: From February 1st to February 23rd, the gymnasium will be closed and the outdoor stadium will be open as normal. If you need to exercise indoors when the gymnasium is closed, you can use the residential college gym facilities by register at the residential college front desk with campus card.  

6. Campus clinic: During the winter vacation, the working hours will be adjusted to 8:00-17:00. Clinics will be closed during the Spring Festival (10th to 17th, February) and resume from February 25th. If you have emergency medical treatment during non-working hours, please call 87572120 or 120.  

7. Shuttle bus: From January 28th to February 23rd, the shuttle bus will be suspended. On February 24th and 25th, the morning and evening shuttle buses will resume, and from February 26th, all schedules will resume. For specific information, please check the campus operation service website (https://coc.intl.zju.edu.cn) or the WeChat official account.  

8. Postal service: From February 3rd to February 17th, parcel delivery will be suspended in the building. The postal service center (first floor, north side of Laitong residential college) is available by 24 hours (staff service hours are 9:00-16:00), service hotline: 87572233.  

9. Chemical Delivery& Laboratory Waste Collection: Suspension of hazardous chemical delivery from January 29 to February 20, with resumption on or before February 27. Laboratory waste collection will be adjusted to every Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 between January 29 and February 23, returning to normal schedule starting February 26.

10. Campus Police Office: Operates normally during the winter vacation. The immigration services are available on Wednesdays from 15:00 to 16:30. Closed on Weekends and statutory holidays. Contact number is 87572110.

11. IT services: During the winter vacation, IT services operate normally. The service hours are 8:30-17:00 from Monday to Sunday. When the library is closed, the IT HelpDesk will be moved to the Campus Service Hub. Service email: itservices@intl.zju.edu.cn, service hotline: 87572669.

12. Supermarket: From January 29th to February 23rd, the business hours will be adjusted to 8:00-18:00 and resume from February 24th.  

13. WeLounge: From February 1st to February 8th and February 12th to February 23rd, the business hours will be adjusted to 10:00-19:00. If you have dining needs from February 9 to February 11, please contact WeLounge one day in advance (Service Hotline: 15325373331). It will resume from February 24th. 

14. Hotel: Accommodation services will remain open 24 hours a day. From February 1st to 23rd, it is recommended to make reservations one day in advance for meals and banquets, and the service hotline is 0573-87375666.  

15. Exhibition Center: During the winter vacation, the Exhibition Center operates as usual. Team visits are available from Monday to Friday, while individual visits are permitted on Sundays. The center is closed on Saturdays and statutory holidays.

16. Energy-saving Mode: Some public service facilities will be operated in an energy-saving mode during the winter vacation.

17. Campus Access: During the winter vacation, the campus will be open to the public for appointment in an orderly way. Please visit the WeChat official account“浙江大学国际校区”-“更多精彩”-“访客预约”to make an appointment.
