Dear all,

A fire extinguishment fighting and emergency evacuation drill will be held at No. 1 Residential College on Nov. 16, 2018 to popularize fire safety knowledge, enhance fire safety awareness and improve fire escape skills at the request of “Notice on Launching the Winter Fire Fighting Series in 2018”. To ensure the exercise goes safely and smoothly, the relevant matters are notified as follow:

• Time & Location

• Time: Nov. 16,      2018, 12:20-12:50

• Location: No. 1      Residential College

• Participants

• Undergraduate and  graduate students of 2018;

• Faculty and staff members newly recruited in 2018;

• Everyone at No.1  Residential College at that time;

• All members of the International Campus Volunteer Fire Brigade;

• Certain employees of logistics service units.

• Content

• Emergency command, firefighting and evacuation;

• Fire extinguishing and rescue method demonstration;

• Activity summary and review.

• Requirements and Precautions

• All participating departments are required to organize and mobilize the exercise carefully to make participants clearly understand related tasks and be familiar with the evacuation route;

• All personnel should follow the command during the exercise. Don’t haste, or it may cause collision and tumbling;

• The elevator will be closed during the exercise. Please evacuate in accordance with the pre-arranged route (on the right side of stairs).

• Please prepare for emergency power outage in advance, and take care of the valuables;

• Building fire alarm and broadcast will be activated before starting the drill. Please don’t be panic and do not call the fire alarm “119”. Please evacuate quickly following the evacuation order.

Relevant departments are required to organize the activity. Please participate in this event on time.
