February 26, 2025 — Marking the start of the new semester, International Campus held its inaugural training seminar on renovation project management and audit policies. Organized by the Office of Campus Operations and Support, the event brought together over 20 representatives responsible for engineering operations from institutes, international research centers, residential colleges, and the finance center.
Mr. Wang Xuchao from the Office of Campus Operations and Support delivered a comprehensive overview of renovation project management. He systematically explained institutional regulations, accountability frameworks, and workflow procedures, establishing a clear and structured management framework for attendees.
Ms. Chen Kang shared practical insights through real-world case studies, highlighting common audit challenges across project phases such as initiation, tendering, contract management, execution, change control, final acceptance & commissioning, and close. Her analysis offered actionable guidance for optimizing project execution.
During the interactive session, attendees actively raised questions and engaged in in-depth discussions on issues encountered in their daily work.
Concluding the training, Mr. Liu Haifeng provided targeted recommendations on three critical operational aspects: selection of project contracting methods, procurement categories, and invoice types for payments, equipping attendees with pragmatic implementation strategies.
The seminar combined systematic policy explanations, vivid case studies, and real-time problem-solving, deepening attendees’ understanding of the complexities and risks inherent in renovation project management. It underscored the imperative of standardized practices and encouraged enhanced coordination between project teams and functional departments to advance standardized management.
