Expert Consultation Meeting on Campus Comprehensive Service Plan

        The Office of Campus Development and Management (CDM) held the Expert Consultation Meeting on Campus Comprehensive Service Plan on 1 June. Experts in logistics service from different universities, including Zhejiang University, Zhejiang University of Technology, Ningbo University, Zhejiang Sci-tech University, Zhejiang University of Media and Communications, Duke Kunshan University, examined the Campus Comprehensive Service Plan and provided with various useful and constructive suggestions.

        Before the meeting, experts from different universities visited the campus accompanied by Ms. Qu Lijuan, the director of CDM, International Campus, including the Teaching and Learning Building, the Residential College, the Library and canteen. During the meeting, Mr. Fu Qiang, Assistant President of ZJU, Secretary of Party Working Committee of International Campus, ZJU, Vice Dean of International Campus, ZJU, made a welcoming introduction on general situation and development history of the campus. Moreover, Ms. Qu Lijuan presented the overall concept and target of our campus logistics service, and introduced the campus comprehensive service plan for the 2017/2018 year.

        Based on the first-hand experience of the campus and understanding the campus comprehensive service plan, the experts appreciated highly of the quality of campus construction, campus facilities, and campus logistics service, and provided valuable suggestions to the service plan. Suggestions can be concluded into four major aspects. Firstly, to detail and optimize some parts of the service plan (e.g. facilities management) according to service target and actual needs. Secondly, to further discuss how party A conduct efficient management, evaluation and supervision on party B based on the direct delegation at the earlier stage of the campus development. And find a balance between specialization subdivision and service coordination. Thirdly, improving the degree of fitness and satisfaction of campus logistics service via IT based and intelligent methods. Fourthly, fully referencing the advanced experience from domestic and overseas universities, further optimizing the management system, management tool, and service risk control.

        In the end, Mr. Fu Qiang gave a brief conclusion on this meeting. He expressed appreciation on all the experts for their forward-looking suggestions on the campus comprehensive service plan, which is helpful for broadening the thoughts on further improvement of campus logistics service. International Campus will stick to the goal of providing logistic service that truly puts students and teachers first, properly manage the relationship between process and result, party A and party B, and find balance between feature service and normalization, goal orientation and process orientation, localization and internationalization. What is more, Mr. Fu Qiang also stated that the campus would fully absorb the useful opinions suggested by the experts and further develop the campus comprehensive service plan to provide a better and more efficient campus logistics service support.
