In the morning of 10 July 2017, the International Campus Security and Stability Work Conference was held by Mr. Fu Qiang, the Assistant President of ZJU, Secretary of Party Working Committee of International Campus, ZJU, Vice Dean of International Campus, ZJU, and participated by deans of two institutes, directors of campus departments and managers of campus service companies in room 522 of Arts and Science Building.
The conference conveyed the spirits of Zhejiang University Security and Stability Work Conference and Notice re Campus Security and Stability Work during Summer Vacation and the Period Afterwards by Party Committee Office of Zhejiang University.
All the departments of International Campus reported the potential safety hazards and implementations of their own responsibilities. Office of Campus Development and Management made a report of recent checking and controlling work of potential safety hazard and publicity work of safety production knowledge. Office of Student Affairs reported the situation of students staying and accommodation at campus during summer vacation and safety education of social practice. Office of Academic Affairs concluded the progress of textbook content checking and safety management for laboratories. Library and Information Center reported the safety checking and controlling work of computer rooms and the measures of internet information security management. Mr. Zhuge Yang, the director of Administrator Office, emphasized daily working discipline of faculty and the importance of promoting ethical party and honest government. What is more, he further pointed out the discipline requirements on duty and emergency reporting and processing during summer vacation.
At the end the conference, Mr. Fuqiang made three requests for campus security and stability work during summer vacation and the period afterwards. Firstly, to make a clear recognition that maintaining campus safety and stability is not only for guaranteeing the sustainable education of International Campus, but also for building a fine campus environment for the convening of nineteenth national congress of the CPC. Secondly, to take responsibilities. Campus safety and stability work will be implemented by deans of two institutes and directors of departments through paying constant attention, and both CPC committees and governments are held accountable and that staff take responsibility for workplace safety in performing their duties, and see that those who fail to uphold safety standards are held accountable. Last but not least is to further enhance management. We will improve both visible safety management, including the campus security, building fire control and laboratory safety and invisible safety stability such as the public voice and ideological trends of students and faculty to earnestly build and amplify the campus safety.
