Z4G: International Campus passed ISO14001

On December 27, 2021, International Campus, Zhejiang University passed International Environmental Standard ISO14001:2015 certification, continuing to lead the construction and operation of an international sustainable campus.

In order to respond to the climate action goals of "2030 carbon peak" and "2060 carbon neutrality " proposed by China and implement A Global ZJU for Social Good (Z4G Plan), Haining International Campus adheres to the concept of sustainable development and is committed to building an international leading example of sustainable campus.

 

Under the guidance of ISO14001, International Campus has established a sound campus environmental management system, integrating sustainable development goals into the development strategy of the campus, relying on scientific planning, design and high-level operation management, to build an international sustainable campus with a low-carbon, green environment.

Since 2018, the sustainable campus concept of the International Campus has been continuously recognized by authoritative institutions in China and abroad. In April 2018, the campus has obtained the two-star green building design label. In September 2019, the library and North Teaching Building A passed the LEED V4.1 O+M platinum certification with high scores. In 2018, the campus joined the British EcoCampus certification system. It has passed silver, gold and platinum certifications for three consecutive years, reflecting the excellent sustainable operations and management capability of the International Campus.

Passing the ISO14001:2015 certification this time represents the further improvement of the sustainable campus operations and management capability of the International Campus, and continues to lead the construction and operation of an international sustainable campus.
