Notice on Conducting the 2024 International Campus Fire Emergency Drill

To all Institutes, Departments, and Units:

November 9, 2024, marks the 33rd National Fire Safety Day. To further promote the implementation of fire safety responsibilities, enhance the fire safety awareness of faculty and students, and strengthen the fire safety defense line, the International Campus will conduct a comprehensive fire emergency drill on November 27, 2024. The details are as follows:

I. Drill Time and Location

1.Time: November 27, 2024, 13:00-13:30

2.Buildings: 3A (Business School), 3B (Administrative Building)

3.Assembly Point: Area outside the west gate of 3A

II. Participants

1.Faculty, staff and students in buildings 3A and 3B (for evacuation)

2.Haining Fire Rescue Brigade, campus property management, and campus medical personnel (for emergency response)

3.2024 freshmen and newly hired faculty and staff (for observation)

4.Interested faculty and students without drill tasks can watch in the observation area.

III. Drill Content

1.Initial fire response and emergency escape capabilities of faculty and students in the buildings.

2.Initial fire extinguishing and evacuation organization capabilities of building management and support personnel.

3.Emergency command, organization, coordination, and on-site handling capabilities of functional departments.

4.Functionality and linkage capabilities of fire safety equipment.

5.Demonstration of on-site firefighting and rescue methods by the fire department.

IV. Drill Requirements and Precautions

1.Participating units should organize and mobilize effectively, ensuring all participating faculty and students understand their tasks and are familiar with evacuation routes.

2.Faculty and students should familiarize themselves with escape routes and emergency exits in advance, evacuate orderly according to instructions, bend forward while moving, and avoid crowding or trampling.

3.During the drill, elevators will be shut down, and fire alarms and broadcast notifications will be activated. Please do not panic upon hearing the alarms or broadcasts, and do not call the fire emergency number "119."

4.Relevant units and departments should organize properly, and faculty and students should prepare in advance to participate in this activity on time.
