Food Safety

        Food safety has always been the top priority of catering work. Since it was put into use, the campus canteen has been following the rich and effective experience of safety management accumulated by Catering Center of Zhejiang University, implementing international standards and requirements of the ISO22000 food safety management system, strengthening the inspection of the key control points, carrying out safety management throughout the whole process of production and sale.

        Campus canteen implements the safety management work based on three aspects: "systematicness", "traceability" and "continuous stability". The “sunshine kitchen” of campus canteen has been included into the supervision platform of ZJU Catering Center, which enables real-time supervision and management on field processing. In order to ensure the safety of raw materials and reduce the cost of raw materials, the bulk material procurement of campus canteen has been added onto the provincial joint procurement platform, relying on the advantage of centralized procurement and carrying out strategic cooperation with direct suppliers to ensure providing high quality goods and materials.

        To reduce safety risk , campus canteen steps up supervision with monthly safety inspection plan to ensure comprehensive supervision and control on campus food safety.
