June 18, the administrator team, led by Professor Fu Qiang, Assistant President of ZJU, Secretary of Party Working Committee of International Campus, ZJU and Vice Dean of International Campus, ZJU conducted a safety inspection on International Campus before the summer vacation. Prof. Fu requested to establish a long-term mechanism of campus safety management to strengthen the campus safety and implementation of safety rectification, and also urged relevant departments to put the Campus Safety Construction Responsibility Letter of International Campus, ZJU into practice.

The team checked the safety records and was deep into crowded places and key sites, including Residential College No.1, canteen, Laboratory Building, ZJE Building and Academic Exchange Center. Efforts are mostly focused on apartment safety, food safety, laboratory safety as well as hotel safety.

Relevant responsible directors fully exchanged safety work and studied the plan—Emergency Plan for Public Emergencies of International Campus, ZJU—at the meeting after the inspection. In the end, Prof. Fu made campus safety work arrangements for the summer vacation and stressed three points: raise security awareness, improve security regulations and implement safety measures; clarify and implement units security responsibility according to the new safety responsibility system; further explore the safety management mode of Sino-foreign cooperative education under the international multi-culture background, and contribute to “Double First-Class” university project.
